1. Add your artwork

Start with a photo or design. Adjust each result below.

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or still GIF · 40 MB per file · processing on your device.

2. Add your identity

Use a separate avatar / icon, and an optional logo to overlay on artwork.

Logo backgrounds are removed automatically. Review the preview before applying. Complex backgrounds may need a model download.

Platform requirements & account conditions
  • Static server icons are available without Boosting. Server invite backgrounds require Level 1; static server banners require Level 2 or Partner access.
  • Level 1 needs 2 server Boosts, Level 2 needs 7, and Level 3 needs 14. Animated icons unlock at Level 1 and animated banners at Level 3. Batch exports still images.
  • Personal profile banners require Nitro. Discord’s current global-profile article specifies 680 × 240; its per-server article still recommends 600 × 240. Choose the matching destination.
  • Discord recommends artwork without text or logos for server banners and invite backgrounds. Use clean artwork or review the text-removal result before exporting.
  • A file-size limit is not published in the cited server icon, banner, or invite specifications. General chat attachment limits are not used as branding-image limits.

Server

Server icon

1024 × 1024 · PNG · Recommended

Add artwork or replace this image

A recognizable square icon for your server.

Specs & placement notes

Discord’s Modify Guild API documents a 1024 × 1024 PNG, JPEG, or GIF for the server icon; animated GIF needs the ANIMATED_ICON feature.

The round preview helps keep the mark clear at small sizes. The PNG or JPG export is static and square.

Server banner

960 × 540 · JPG · Conditional

Add artwork or replace this image

The artwork above your server’s channel list.

Requires Boost Level 2 or Discord Partner access.

Specs & placement notes

Discord recommends a 16:9 banner at least 960 × 540. Keep the top 48 px simple and avoid logos or text. The API accepts PNG/JPEG for static banners.

Keep the upper strip quiet so the server name remains readable. This export does not include animation.

Set checklist · 1 items to review
  • Server icon: add a source image

You can prepare a partial set. The ZIP guide records every missing or excluded item.

How to prepare Discord images

  1. 1. Choose the right source

Add your main artwork, then a separate profile image or icon. Add multiple content images when you need a batch of posts or thumbnails.

  2. 2. Review each crop

Select the presets you need and open Adjust to position each image. Use crop to fill the frame or fit to retain the entire image. Check the safe-area guides where provided.

  3. 3. Prepare and download

Prepare the selected files to check dimensions, formats and published file limits. Download a single image or a ZIP, then review the destination preview before publishing.
