How to prepare Etsy images

1. 1. Choose the right source

   Start with clear product photos. Add your shop identity separately, so your listing images and banners can use different source files.

2. 2. Review each crop

   Select the presets you need and open Adjust to position each image. Use crop to fill the frame or fit to retain the entire image. Check the safe-area guides where provided.

3. 3. Prepare and download

   Prepare the selected files to check dimensions, formats and published file limits. Download a single image or a ZIP, then review the destination preview before publishing.

These are the tool’s export dimensions. “Batch preset” is a practical starting point, not a platform requirement. Account eligibility and content rules can also apply; follow each source for the current specification.

Before you export

• Listing dimensions are recommendations. Etsy recommends at least 2,000 pixels on both sides; the first photo should be at least 635 pixels on both sides.
• Transparent areas can appear black on Etsy. These exports use a solid background. Etsy recommends sRGB.
• More than 1 MB can make uploads less reliable on slow connections; this is guidance, not a documented hard size limit.
• Use up to 20 real product photos per listing. Large and mini banners are alternatives. Etsy Plus carousel and collage layouts are not included in this set.
